SALARY: up to £71,000 pa dependent on experience plus fantastic benefits
LOCATION: Milton Keynes
HYBRID WORKING: Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 20% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.

Are you ready to lead architectural design for high-impact transformation programmes? At VWFS UK, we’re on a mission to be The Key to Mobility — and we’re looking for a Solution Architect to help us get there.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of solution architecture across strategic initiatives including our Contract Management Transformation, Fleet Programmes, and Digital Programme. You’ll collaborate with UK and global teams to define, develop, and deliver innovative architecture solutions that drive real business outcomes.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead solution architecture and design for a key business domain
- Develop high-level designs aligned with our architecture roadmaps and standards
- Define Solution Building Blocks that support our application and platform strategies
- Partner with IT teams to ensure seamless implementation and service readiness
- Translate complex requirements into actionable architecture blueprints
- Provide full-stack architecture services to development teams and technology partners
We’re looking for someone with:
- Proven experience leading architecture development across complex systems
- Deep expertise in at least one architecture domain (Business, Application, Data, Technology, Security)
- Strong knowledge of enterprise integration, messaging models, and Agile/Lean architecture practices
- Experience with EA tools (LeanIX, Alfabet, Bizzdesign, Sparx EA)
- Cloud platform expertise (AWS, Azure), API design, event-driven and microservices architecture
- Understanding of SOAP, REST, and modern integration patterns
- Ability to produce high- and low-level technical designs for diverse audiences.
- Ideally, experience in Financial Services, Automotive Finance, or a regulated environment.
Qualifications (preferred):
- TOGAF certification
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure)
