We’re looking for a Prudential & Regulatory Reporting Analyst. You will play a pivotal role as a key senior technical advisor to the Prudential & Regulatory Reporting Manager for regulatory reporting and wider financial data requirements for VWFS and VW Bank in the UK and Europe
In this specialist role, your focus will be to provide analytical and strategic advice on Regulatory report submissions, change, data quality and in particular, the implementation of our new software reporting tool
What you’ll be doing:
- You will develop, coach, engage, motivate and manage the team to perform at their best, role modelling effective leadership and enabling a positive and inclusive culture
- Overseeing the regulatory changes pipeline, defining the data requirements, planning and implementing the extraction and recording of appropriate data to the data repository and/or regulatory reporting tool
- Planning and budgeting processes to ensure long term regulatory capital and liquidity requirements are addressed through supporting Controlling and Treasury through the Planning Round process
- Work with Regulators, HQ and Auditors to resolve any queries on; submission variances, trends and technical interpretations
- Deputise for the Prudential & Regulatory Reporting Manager, with regular interaction with key members of the Finance Reporting teams, managers from other functions, software suppliers and Colleagues across the wider international organisation to ensure initiatives are supported and best outcomes for all
- BAU modelling and approaches, ensuring files, schedules and models remain fit for purpose
- Provide guidance on adherence to all legal requirements, regulatory guidance and HQ policies governing Regulatory Reporting governance, processes and reporting requirements
- Develop, deliver and present Finance and Regulatory MI and analytical insights to senior management and BoM to inform risk management, realise business benefits and optimise strategic decision making
What you’ll bring:
You’ll be an accomplished manager who can drive performance of your team through coaching and development through inclusive leadership
You’ll have a solid grounding in Banking Regulatory Capital Reporting (COREP) and a great understanding of IFRS accounting requirements for credit products and have used Regulatory Reporting Software package(s)
Essential experience & skills
- You’re able to effectively review complex portfolio analyses across high volume data sets and extract meaningful regulatory reporting insights

You have strong IT skills in some or all of MS Excel, SQL Server, Web Intelligence and Tableau which you use to analyse big data, gain insights, present findings and transform data

You’re a confident communicator and can convey complex concepts and calculations and, collaborate with Finance and a variety of audiences of non-Finance colleagues at all levels

You’re great at utilising your networking skills to elicit key business knowledge and can influence key internal and external stakeholders
- You can take a strategic view and understand the wider vision and interdependencies between functions to inform your decision making
- It would be great if you had Structured Finance knowledge, thorough understanding of a Captive Automotive Financial Services organisation with knowledge of market risks within Finance and Leasing products
- If you’re a qualified accountant or have a similar professional qualification this would be a great help
